You will meet the most unsophisticated, good-natured and humane characters in Plain Love II. Fong Yau-Wei (Gordon Lam) is the descendent of the Fong Clan once famous for the growing tea. He now works in the tea farm run by the Song family together with his two best friends (Mak Cheung Ching and Dickson Lee Ka Sing). The three run into conflicts and Wei decides to leave and re-establish the Fong family's tea farm. Nga (Maggie Cheung Ho Yee) accompanies Wei throughout his struggles and they fall in love with each other, but Wei's first love Kiu (Winne Young Yuen Yi) suddenly appears...
Gordon Lam has always brought about popularity to the TV dramas which feature him. This time he collaborates with others who are just as popular - Maggie Cheung Ho Yee, Mak Cheung Ching, Louisa So Yuk Wah, etc. The extended high rating of Plain Love II in 1999 finally crowned Fong You-Wei as "My Favorite TV Character in 2000". The TV series was shot in farms in Guangxi. The scenic views there have impressed so many, and so has the simple village lifestyle.

「方家茶」乃一代茶中極品，惜方家家道中落，後人為(林家棟)遂務農為生。
其後為與結拜兄弟牛(麥包)及春(李家聲)到宋家大茶園做工，同甘共苦。牛一直鍾情於山地姑娘雅(張可頤)，卻誤會為橫刀奪愛；加上為備受茶園姑爺彪(元華)和女大當家(程可為)賞識，令牛更加妒忌。牛遂欺騙大小姐華(蘇玉華)的感情，入贅宋家，將為逐出大茶園。
為從此發憤，欲復興「方家茶」，更與雅患難見真情，此時為的初戀情人喬(楊婉儀)卻突然出現，令為情義兩難。
五年一度的評茶大會上，為與牛除了爭奪茶王之位外，更為友情及愛情作一了斷......
註：由於母帶已製作經年，故在製作VCD的過程中，必須進行調色、重新配樂及剪輯等後期工作。但所有後期工作均在有必要的情況下進行，並以不影響劇情為原則。

Awesome series
| Gorgeous scenery, rich storyline, brilliant acting, outstanding ensemble of actors, what more can you ask for a TVB series? This is a classic. Gordon Lam and Maggie Cheung should have won their Best Actor and Best Actress, respectively, for their mesmerizing performances. Louisa So deserves a loud applause for her poignant supporting performance. As well as Mak Cheung Ching--who knew he could be that interesting to watch! Yuen Wah is awesome, very funny and entertaining to watch. A classic comic relief. The series is so inspiring to watch. |
