TVB's answer to Charlie's Angels, 2004 police drama Angels of Mission puts top actresses Sonija Kwok, Charmaine Sheh, and Shirley Yeung on the frontline for a thrilling action-packed series. All Miss Hong Kong pageant winners, the leading ladies back up their beauty and brains with both acting and action chops in this entertaining serial. Though TVB makes many police dramas, few are completely headlined by actresses and filled with such stylish action sequences, allowing the usually soft-spoken starlets to show their tough sides. Award-winning actor Patrick Tam, who returned to TVB briefly in 2003 and 2004 for three series, co-stars in Angels of Mission, along with Shek Sau, Thomas Lam, Stephen Au, Ram Chiang, and Timmy Hung.

Employing only the best of the best, the police force's security task unit is in charge of gathering intelligence and combating terrorist activities. Notable in the unit are three female officers, with the deadly skills to match their beautiful looks. Cool, calm, and collected, Chief Inspector Sung Lok Kei (Sonija Kwok) is as professional as they come, never letting her emotions affect her work. In contrast, Yiu Lai Fa (Charmaine Sheh) is impulsive and confrontational but full of passion for the job and able to fight herself out of any sticky situation. Cute, clever, and kindhearted, junior officer Tong Bo Yee (Shirley Yeung) is the rookie of the crew, but her sharp-shooting skills puts her at the top of the class. Together, these three angels fearlessly take on the challenges of love and work without ever backing down.

The Police Counter-Terrorism Unit (CTU) gathers intelligence to fight against terrorist attacks. Three beautiful female officers, SAM (KWOK SONIJA), FA (SHEH CHARMAINE) and BO BO (YEUNG SZE KI, SHIRLEY), who have different personalities, are outstanding members of this unit.

SAM is a Chief Inspector in CTU. She is decisive and never mixes personal matters with work. FA is good at martial arts and enthusiastic in her job. However, she can be very short-tempered. BO BO is a fresh graduate from the cadet school. She is very accurate at shooting, but she has no ambition at work. These three angels are good friends and partners.
