Not for Serious AV user Customer Review Rated Bad 2 - 2 out of 10
This product is Cheap, is Multi-region, these 2 points are good enough reason to get this item. BUT... for all professional/serious AV user, I will suggest you NOT to get this item, I personally is a semi-pro AV user. This item DOES NOT encode DTS, I tested this player with 'The Day After Tomorrow', the pictures are acceptable, but the picture sometime will pause for around 1/2 sec for the sound to catch up, this proves the players sound encoder is not fast enough for all serious user. But for all lecture user, I will say this is a Great player, specially for those who does not what DD or DTS stands for. I have rated this item a 2 Star as a Serious AV user, but if for a lecture use, I would have rate it 8-9 Stars out of 10.

Great DVD Player Customer Review Rated Bad 10 - 10 out of 10
I wanted to be able to watch DVDs from the UK that weren't available in NTSC. So far the Super has handled everything I've put in it with no trouble. It impressed a friend so much he got one too.

I'm not expecting it to last forever - it is a mega-cheapie after all - but at this price, I can buy a new one every year, and consider it worth it. I haven't found any other box that does multi-region with on-the-fly PAL/NTSC conversion at any price.

UPDATE - I've had my Super for four month now, and it is still working fine. I have found some commercial DVDs don't play well in it, but it is a fault of the DVD manufacturer, not the player (I work in the industry). Basically, Technicolor don't test for compatability with the software codec used in this box, and frequently the only way to play DVDs duplicated by Technicolor is to go to the Select Scene menu and pick the first scene. It plays fine from there. This affects many cheaper DVD players, who all use the same software codec.

And the Black & White case must the TV System Problem, you can press the "N/P" button on remote to select the right system suitable for you.

Needed a small little DVD player for my corner when the family TV was being used for football or I just wanted to get away and relax. This DVD player is working well. It's simple to operate and takes up little space. Just what I wanted.
