Twins《最愛笑迎鼠》

自從Twins在歌壇出現以後，大家每年也無須只重覆收聽「歡樂年年」、「財神到」、「迎春花」等經典粵語賀年歌曲，這對雙生兒總會到時到候為大家送上一曲新創作、新編排的新年頌，讓大家打從農曆年底到新正頭也能感受到喜氣洋洋的氛圍。今年當然也不例外，阿嬌(鍾欣桐)和阿Sa(蔡卓妍)又錄下了一首「最愛笑迎鼠」，跟大家愉快地送豬迎金鼠。

Twins過去幾年的賀年作品均以活潑﹑熱鬧和好彩頭來吸引樂迷，如「孖寶668」、「你最紅」和「夢想黃金屋」等都是好例子，今次這首「最愛笑迎鼠」亦然，整首歌充滿熱鬧的春節氣氛，曲調搶耳又容易琅琅上口，歌詞應節而不見堆砌誇張，在編曲方面能平衡傳統賀年歌的味道與流行曲的時尚性，叫人聽得開開心心，熱熱鬧鬧，高高興興。至於兩位歌者的演繹亦相當投入﹑可愛，能把歡樂傳給受眾，過新年聽到她們的聲音，格外興奮。

至於唱片收錄的其他賀年作品，其實早就過去幾年的英皇專輯出現過，如「八星報喜賀賀喜」、「你最紅」、「紅噹噹飛吻」等，新年歌的好處勝在沒有太特定的時間性，喜歡甚麼時候拿出來收聽也行，加上一年也不會聽到太多遍，因此絕對不怕過時過氣，絕對可以一一細意重聽。

I suppose I'm a bit late saying that now, but I didn't want to unseal this lovely package straight away, and have only just got around to listening and viewing the disks.

No doubt this Twins / Disney combo is a future collectible for fans of both, and what an excellent package of goodies it contains, too! I can well imagine that nearly all you C & G fans out there have this by now, but just in case maybe 5 of you guys are still pondering whether to purchase this yet, here again like the "Twins Third Mandarin" set, - you don't want to miss out! It may be similar to the 2005 Twins New Year + Best Selection version, with deja vu inducing songs and videos. But, as like all things improving with time, this Twin's Chinese New Year celebration box is even more gorgeously packed than before, and filled to the rafters with nifty gifts and pictures! Its like a Chinese New Year goody bag! You do only get the one new MV of the Twins in Disneyland, but normally with DVD bonus videos there are generally only 1 or 2 MVs. But here you get a big celebratory collection (which is great, too, if you haven't got them!), but with this set you wouldn't be really buying it for the music and MVs alone. Its the gifts you would buy this for!

The slim but generously sized red box, includes a main disk 4 gate fold card with the CD and DVD inserted into tabs on each side, plus a gold booklet stitched and fastened on the inside gate fold. The booklet is packed with Charlene and Gillian photos, with a section of grouped photos relating to the Twins in Hong Kong Disneyland, on several fold out pages at the end of the booklet. There are five fold over mini scrolls with gold leafed Chinese lettering of Twins and Mickey and Minnie, a sheet of folded Twins/Disney stickers (which you don't want to go and stick on your sleeping dad's fore head, by the way - keep them on the sheet as a mint and intact collectible!), five red pockets one type out of 4 (mine included Gillian's set, which I think is about right, as we are both PSP owners! Huzzah! Yep, I caught that 'what is in the Twin's bags' on Yew Chewb! I'll have to get an iPod, Charlene!), and a Disney leaflet. The DVD is as you would expect - 1 new MV, plus some of the 2005 Chinese New Year MVs and the "Making of" from the latter - with Karaoke versions of all the MVs as separate chapters.

As with all Twins music and celebration you get a wonderful package of liveliness and fun here! Watching the MVs is interesting to see the Twins then and now back to back, and its amazing how vibrant and fun they were (and still are!) - with spirit lifting credentials, here! And fun is certainly the operative word, with the Boy'z doing their laydeez routine in polka dresses and Twins doing the bearded ladzz thing, too! I'll have to get my aunt this one, as well - she'll love this! She will be a big Twins fan soon, already having the "Our Love" set!

So.....9/10 here, mainly for all the audio and visual retrospective and unadulterated fun and wackiness, plus a fantastic designed package (love the Twins tees with red/purple colour reversed Mickie's!) - and all done in the best possible taste! Okay, yo five - don't miss this set!

The album was so good, lots of pictures, and yea, really happy dat I received Ah Sa's red pocket. It was so great, even though it had a lot of old MVs, but yea, great Twins. :D

Twins can celebrat this album as a gift for them from the success of their new Hit Mandarin album. This is a great New Year gift for everyone with many collectibles included: red pockets, stickerss, scrolls... the package is well-designed. About the MVs, only one new song is added in this new album. Twins looked very cute in the new song. Buy this guy if you are a crazy fan of Twins.
